About me...

I have a ravenous appetite for art and all things beautiful.

My obsession with beauty translates into passionate photography and into developing meaningful relationships with clients, models, other photographers and anyone else who I bring into my world of color, light and shadow.

My background...

I have traveled into fairly remote regions of the world... finding beauty everywhere... among people, within nature... as far away as the moon (in my poetry) and as deep as the Hawaiian oceans. I studied at The Sorbonne (The University of Paris); at Cambridge University in Cambridge, England... lived in California, Hawaii, Atlanta and on the top of a remote mountain in North Carolina. But, all my travels have brought me right back here... to northern Florida, where I pursue my art with a desire to create beauty in everything I do.

Work History...

For 20 years I owned an advertising agency, putting together teams of graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, web site designers, etc. Aside from doing the marketing writing and managing the projects, I was the art director... always studying balance and ratios in our design work and marketing materials.

My background in marketing and art direction set me up for a career as a photographer and artist because photos are always selling something. Your business portrait is selling you to peers, customers and potential employers. Your product photography is selling your product and an artistic still life is selling an idea or point of view. So, I feel like my whole life has been preparing me to be a photographer. From my modeling experience to my interest in the beauty of nature as a small child to my study of ceramic sculpture and charcoal drawing to my short career as a jewelry designer to my long career in advertising and communication materials... to my favorite moment of all: taking photos with people like you. Give me a call and we'll set up a photo session. It's always a fun, rewarding, and even, therapeutic, experience! Why not call me now? 904 382 7559.

Note: Allowing me, Holly Gordon, and my associate photographers to take photos of you is your agreement and understanding that the photos, unless we have another written agreement, are for your personal use or as a photo to use to identify you in the course of business, such as for a newspaper article, but not for commercial use, such as for an advertising campaign or annual report. In other words, you are not authorized to use any of your photos that I or my associates have taken for duplication, for print or for online selling or advertising of any sort without written approval from me. The rights to any photograph, by law, even if you paid for them, belong to the photographer or photography company that took them. You can, however, buy further rights at the consent of the photographer. As such, the photographer has the right to use your photos for self-promotion unless you come to a different agreement. I think it's important that you know your rights that relate to your photographic experience.

Come on... let's take some photos!

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." -Thoreau

We need to ask ourselves, A hundred years from now, will it have made a difference that I lived? Did I wake up every day and give it my best, pursuing my dreams and goals? Did I keep my heart of compassion open, helping others, giving, caring, serving?

Follow your bliss.. and the universe will open doors for you, where there were only walls...

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

"He allowed himself to be swayed by his conviction that human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but that life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves."
Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Love in the Time of Cholera

More on me & my life...my travels throughout SE Asia, South America, North America and throughout the Atlantic islands was all about hunting knowledge, wisdom and beauty. I spent two months in India with spiritual teachers, I smoked opium in a bamboo hut with an Akkha Hill Tribe chief, I rode an old motorcycle through the hills and rainy valleys of Ireland alone and I studied philosophy at the University of Paris. My life stories are almost unbelievable, if you can ever get me to share them. I live with the hope that I can help beautify the world with my photography and my art.

My photography and my wardrobe stylizing are featured on GW Burn's Lightmaster Series video from a seminar I took with him in Sarasota, FL in August 2009.

From my poem, Light
I caught Light with the corner of my eye. She was spinning in her transparent rose silk, silent. She was looking over my right shoulder at the open door. She had that look in her eye. The remembrance of when darkness swallowed her inside his hellish belly...

My other interests include quantum physics, designing jewelry, and fashion. My education includes studying at The Sorbonne (University of Paris), University of Nice (France), Cambridge University (UK), University of New Hampshire and graduating Rutgers University.

Some of my past experiences include being an avid rock climber and sky diver (65 jumps), extreme skiing, managing a hot air balloon company and, as editor-in-chief, developed an extreme sports men's magazine that I named "EDGE: the adrenaline lifestyle magazine".
